What is Reseller Hosting

Reseller Hosting

If you have many websites or have clients whom you wish to control the hosting of their sites, then reseller hosting is a fantastic option.

Reseller web hosting is generally a shared server which has an entire account for you. This account allows you to set up as many websites as you wish and allocate these sites specific bandwidth and disk space settings. This is fantastic if you run many of your own sites or client's sites.

Most reseller hosting on Linux will come with a control panel like Web Host Manager. WHM lets you easily create website accounts in the form of packages. When you create a new package, you can simply allocate disk space, bandwidth, email accounts and many other settings to each website.

Reseller hosting can cost as little as $20 per month for unlimited websites. Keep in mind that your entire bandwidth and disk space for your reseller account must be spread between all the sites that you set up. If you need larger amounts of bandwidth then you'll generally need to pay $40 or more per month. Most of the big hosting providers have reseller hosting plans, such as Hostgator, Reseller Zoom and A Small Orange.
