Years ago I was a participant at a Tony Robbins Sales seminar called Power To Influence. It was my first exposure into the world of seminars, marketing, sales and human psychology. That said, I spent lots of time learning about NLP, Analytical Persuasion and Trends. One of my favorite trend futurist was Faith Popcorn.
Faith had a book called the Popcorn Report, in it she described some dominant trends such as cocooning and small indulgences. I ran into a video on Youtube about small indulgences even though that was not what they called it.
Starbucks coffee is very on trend with small indulgences as well as clanning which on the web is now called “tribes”, regardless of what it’s called it has the same description.
I couldn’t help but look up the book on Amazon and find that you can buy it used for 1 cent. Here is a book that describes lots of what going on in society today and can help any marketer get a better pulse on how to position their product and it’s selling for 1 cent… WOW.
