So it seems some folks don't know what CPA means…
A few friends have asked what CPA means and why I would say it's my year to finish off CPA with a bang. Well CPA mean "Cost per Acquisition"… basically a fee for a lead. I have been starting to seriously pursue CPA since this past summer and have seen some real opportunity and positive results.
It first started with affiliate marketing using Pay Per Click this spring where I invested about $100 to make over $1200. That got my attention, the only challenge with affiliate scenarios for this type of return to work is that your dealing directly with the vendor and some of them don't like to pay or pay late.
So that's why I looked into CPA where all I have to do is get a lead to fill out a form rather than buy something, it's similar enough to affiliate marketing that I took a turn and started promoting via PPC again… some CPA offers.
Like everything else it's all based on testing and apparently there is not way to predict what will convert. I pooled about 10 related offers from 3 different networks and of the 10 2 stood out with high conversion ratios. Mind you I am direct linking which means I am sending the lead directly to the offer.
My top to averaged 9% conversion which is pretty attractive, the other offers bombed compared to my top 2 which I still run and will continue to run as long as they continue to convert. Trick now is finding other sorts of traffic that can produce the same results.
Many CPA gurus's say that an offer that can bring in at least 20% ROI is a success. My standards is at least 50%, that basically means that I spend 1 buck to get 50 cents profit.. not bad.
So, for the near future I foresee so further input on how I'm doing with CPA. My outcome is to be able to have a steady mid 5 figure income by the end of the year which apparently is doable in this industry.
