Here's a little nugget for any of you who don't have software that produces an XML Sitemap…. also in addition if your not sure what your keyword density is for your pages… I have another resource to share.
http://xmlsitemap.com/ will produce a clean simple sitemap, this is going to help the spiders index your site properly.
http://www.keyworddensity.com/ will allow you to quickly see what your density consists of. Rule of thumb is to stick within the 2-3% for your target keyword, any more than that and you risk being seen as spammy.
SO that's it, just wanted to share these quick resources, they were required for a client of mine and I decided to put this out there for those that don't have the software to do this type of work. Catch ya later
Marketing to moms and the baby niche is an evergreen niche that deserve attention regardless of CPA, Affiliate or direct sale plays. Interesting enough the biggest things moms do on the web is check their email. Paying bills comes in second which I'm sure banks must be happy to hear. That said bank may want to rethink their design to make it more attractive to women.
Also hot with moms is reading news and staying on top of the weather, I know we check the weather the night before we send our boy to school just to make sure he is dressed appropriately.
Research for purchases, and price comparison… I found this one surprising since this means targeted review sites for women can be a great affiliate play, especially if your going to update them with deal alerts and reviews via email. Just a thought
Your probably wondering where the heck did I get this data from, it's not mine, it came from the Marketing to Moms Coalition. You can learn more about it here.
I just scored a free 2 year hosting account with Dreamhost, they are already a favorite host of mine so the addition of getting extra hosting was a nice score. Dreamhost is celebrating the demise of Geocities as they explain here…
Dreamhost Blog
And we are to benefit from this change, Geocities is one of the older hosting services out there, Yahoo picked them up and gave the hosting away for free for a very long time. Now that they are giving it up, Dreamhost is inviting all Geocities user over for absolutely free.
All you have to do is go into your Geocities account, create a page that has the following text…
“I’m off to DreamHost!”
and once published use the URL as your promo code. Can't be any more simple than that! They 2 year offer includes unlimited bandwidth and storage… that's a heck of an offer.
Hurry because it's only available for the first 1000 and I cam into this deal 3 or 4 days late. Who knows how long this will last but if you search for “I’m off to DreamHost!” you will see there are many many sites talking about this free Dreamhost hosting offer.
Here is a great video of Tony Robbins discussing what is Unleash the Power Within. He does a great job of describing that his event is not about motivation but about what currently motivates you to live the life you live. Hope you enjoy it…
So, Here I am visiting my blog when I noticed it's been a full month since I added a blog to my blog. I have been busy twittering on twitter. Facebooking… on Facebook and overall just playing in the Web2.0 world rather than my lonely blog.
Comes to show you how much of social animals we really are, we would rather build content for a huge online property such as Facebook than update our own properties. I have to admit, I am in it to connect and meet new folks online now that the world has become one big digital melting pot. I do have a bit of a challenge, on Facebook I can't recall everything I do since it's so free flowing… that ever happen to you?
I was going over all the groups I was in… kind of got out of hand… over 100 and then I checked which ones I was admin to and found that I was admin to 6 of them. One of the groups was totally forgotten because I created it when I first got on Facebook… Crazy.
Anyways, I can't forget my blog, and all the entries are right there. Just gotta follow up and continue to share. So that's what happened with this lapse, besides the face that I have been busy on projects for clients and have partnered with a Seminar that is coming to NYC this coming May 16 and 17 which is going to be awesome!
Here is a sneak peek at the event, I did the site by hand and we will be updating it with graphics very soon… check it out here…
I just got a whiff of this video that chronicles a set of commecials that appreard in the mid 90's regarding technology. They used to get me so excited because that the time I was selling web sites. Actually they were called Virtual Yellow Pages and were suppose to be a directory of sorts modeled after the yellow pages.
In the following commecial circa 93 or so they reference EZ Pass, Flat Screens (big ones like the one in my living room) video conference calls, remote vitual meetings (did that twice this afternoon) and lots more.
Watch the video and leave me comment, let me know what you think.
